With the introduction of NetSuite’s most recent upgrade, the 2018.2 Release, which officially launched in July, NetSuite customers (especially those in the services industries) were once again showered with a seemingly endless array of new and improved features.

NetSuite’s 2018.2 Release contains expanded features throughout all its applications to help customers overcome existing challenges and objectives through its new and improved attributes.

Below we’ve summarized a few of the top new features from NetSuite’s 2018.2 upgrade release:

SuiteAnalytics Workbook

NetSuite is a leader in delivering analytics and driving analysis reports across a multitude of departments in any organization. With the newest release of SuiteAnalytics WorkBook Beta Mode, users can view data in new and exciting ways without being experts in the application. It’s now easier to create queries that convey authentic and exclusive insights from the driven results.

Global Financials

NetSuite has enhanced its functionality for international business giving companies more regulation over period closing automation, compliance, and reporting. With deepened international market capabilities, 2018.2 provides its customers the ability to better suit international trade by adding over four more countries. The multi-subsidiary feature complements the relationship of vendor and customer records much more effectively allowing more flexibility from a basic saved search.

Human Capital Management

Accurately recording employee data is an essential HR function. That’s why NetSuite amplified its human capital management module in a variety of HR functions. To increase productivity, NetSuite combined windows in order to prevent switching between various screens to calculate time off balances. Not only do payroll administrators have more influence on process flows, but users can now influence the amount of data shared with NetSuite admins.

Professional Services Automation

Most organizations, particularly those in services industries, provide a company credit card for business and mobile traveling. Corporate credit card row entries are now available to provide better efficiency as they automatically become added to the reconciliation screen. Employees who submit expense reports over time instead of during travel will be supported by the ‘complete later’ standard in the improved expense report screen.

Although these are just a few highlights (see a full list of the new features here and check out the video below), 2018.2 holds many features you’ll want to be sure to take advantage of.
