What You Need to Know About NetSuite's 18.1 Release

Earlier this week, NetSuite announced Version 2018 Release 1 (commonly referred to as 18.1) of its business management suite. Although the announcement on the NetSuite website was just a sneak preview of what's to come, it has NetSuite users across all industries excited for a multitude of reasons.

We've unpacked the full list of feature highlights in the NetSuite 18.1 update and outlined the details that we think are worth getting excited about. 

Advanced Revenue Management

Advanced Revenue Management will include improved performance, flexibility and productivity, ensuring compliance with new ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.

Project Profitability Reporting

Updates to Project Profitability Reporting will generate more accurate forecasts by including Sales Orders as future revenue.

Resource Allocation Grid Filters

The new Resource Allocation Grid Filters simplify resource allocation and increase flexibility and control of projects―giving service companies in particular a reason to get excited about the 18.1 release.

Multi-Subsidiary Customer

Eliminate duplicate customers with the new Multi-Subsidiary Customer module which provides NetSuite users with a singular, clear view of customers across all subsidiaries.

Supply Chain Snapshot

Gain a comprehensive view and granular control of global inventory demand and supply with Supply Chain Snapshot.

SuiteCommerce Standard

NetSuite users can launch new web-stores faster than ever before with SuiteCommerce Standard―giving retailers a reason to rethink their eCommerce strategy in 2018.

Fallback Solution

Another 18.1 feature that's especially exciting for NetSuite users in the retail industry is the new Fallback Solution, which prevents businesses from ever missing a Point of Sale, (even when their POS system is offline).
